John (Jack) Hardy, Ph.D., President of Western Solar, began his career as a researcher and professor of environmental science. He taught a course on Climate Change for 14 years and is author of "Climate Change: Causes, Effects, and Solutions" John Wiley & Sons". He has been involved in designing and building energy efficient homes and solar systems since 1979. Jack's work has taken him to more than 45 countries, providing opportunities to learn about renewable energy technologies used around the world. In 2002 he founded Prime Consultants Inc. (dba Western Solar) to focus on design and installation of solar electric and solar hot water systems.
Joshua Miller, Design and Installation Manager, has been involved in the solar industry since an early age, having grown up in a passive solar adobe home in Arizona. After graduating from Business School at Northern Arizona University he spent several years traveling the world before returning to Arizona to work for a green building company. During the next two years as Project Manager the business quickly grew to become one of the premier solar companies in Arizona with several hundred kilowatts of installed projects around the state. He then moved onto the corporate side of solar as Regional Sales Manager for several states, before partnering with Western Solar in 2009.
