18.2 kW Photovoltaic System

Western Solar installed an 18,200 watt photovoltaic system new Northwest Career & Technical at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon.    The system includes (91) 200 watt modules installed using S-5, non-pentrating clamps on the College's new standing seam metal roof.  Since the system's combiner panel was to be roof mounted, we custom powder coated the enclosure to match the overall blue color of the roof and solar modules.  The solar module's DC power is switched into the school's 3-Phase 480 power using (1) Solectria PVI 3-Phase Commercial Inverter.  The system will be monitored in conjuction with the College's phase 2 system that is being installed at the new Anacortes Campus.
