In preparation for upcoming commercial projects, the Western Solar installation crew recently completed essential aerial lift and telehandler training. With exciting projects involving a multi-building installation with Bellingham Public Schools and more in the Western Solar pipeline, the acquired skills elevate our installers to a new level of expertise.

As our friends, families, and fellow businesses have asked, we have moving photos to share! Last Thursday, we checked our email one last time, shut down our computers, and got to packing. Markus attempted to hold out in order to get as much work done as possible, but eventually was pulled into the fray along with the rest of us.

This time next week, we’ll be packing up our office in downtown Bellingham and transitioning over to our new digs a few miles north. Since we first opened our doors here on Champion St, we’ve been steadily growing as a company and now find that we’ve outgrown both our office and warehouse space. So, it’s time for a change!

Our general manager, Josh Miller, sat down with Community Connection’s Crystal King to talk about the local roots of Western Solar and how the company got its start in Bellingham. Josh and Crystal also discussed the changes in the solar industry since Western Solar opened its doors, along with misconceptions that come along with installing solar in the Pacific Northwest.
