Spring cleaning your house? Don’t forget your solar panels!

Spring cleaning your house? Don’t forget your solar panels!

Your solar panels get a lot thrown at them over the course of the year — dust, pollen, tree debris, bird poop, critters scurrying around, and … snails?

If you’ve been working on spring cleaning around the house, it’s a good time to think about applying the same to your system. Just as you clean your gutters regularly to keep debris from accumulating, the same goes for your solar panels.

In the Pacific Northwest, regular rainfall helps keep our solar panels mostly clean, but airborne particulate can still accumulate over time. Without regular cleaning, dirt and pollen can build up and begin to impact solar production.

The good news? You don’t have to go up on your roof! We can do it for you.

Our experienced technicians are roof-savvy and safety-minded. They will safely clean your array following the recommended guidelines from panel manufacturers, ensuring your system continues to perform to its highest potential.

Estimated System Cleaning Rates*

*Rate may vary depending on roof pitch, access, and location. Please call or email for an exact quote.

Is it possible to DIY? If so, will hosing it down suffice?

Thanks for the advice. Was planning on using a hose only. Next summer I’ll look into having your professional cleaners do the job. They still look great.
