Every dollar they can save on an electricity bill is a dollar that can instead go to their front line services where it\u2019s needed the most. However, nonprofits do not have the benefit of the generous federal tax credits that help home and business owners go solar, and they are often working with tight budgets that make the upfront investment necessary for solar untenable.
