The technical salesperson will develop and manage potential solar and energy storage project proposals with residential customers, with a focus on designing a system to best fit the customer&#8217;s needs. Our ideal candidate will maintain a high degree of technical knowledge and will translate complex system design in a clear way. This candidate will invest in their customer\u2019s experience and work hard to engage each customer in an honest and transparent way.<\/p>\n<h3>Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Professionally represent Western Solar and be a resource for technical system design<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Complete both remote and on-site solar resource and site analyses to determine suitability of solar and energy storage for that location, including gathering all feasible roof measurements and conducting inspection of roof condition and existing electrical infrastructure<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Compile full financial analysis for proposed project scope and generate system proposal<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Design relevant project schematics<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintain knowledge of Washington State and federal financial incentive structures for residential projects<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical, building, and mechanical code requirements<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assist in outreach opportunities at home shows, solar workshops, and other outreach<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Suite, CRM (preferably Hubspot), and learning new software<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">2+ years direct sales experience<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Highly organized, technical, and detail oriented<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Ability to safely climb ladders and traverse rooftops<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Display skills at conveying technical industry information in a customer-focused manner<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Effectively manage time and appointments<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Maintain professionalism, excellent customer service, and conflict resolution skills<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Valid driver\u2019s license and clean driving record<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent years of experience in solar industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Preferred Experience:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">2+ years of solar design or technical sales experience<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Experience with Aurora<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">NABCEP Technical Sales certification desired<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Electrical experience<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Solar installation experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Benefits:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Health insurance<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Dental insurance<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Vision insurance<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">HSA matching<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">401(k) matching<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Paid holidays and vacation<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Continuing education reimbursement (with approval)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Referral program<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">December holiday bonus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>About Western Solar:<\/h3>\n<p>Western Solar is a locally owned and operated independent solar contractor in Bellingham, Washington and one of the top installers in the Pacific Northwest.
