Western Solar Warranties

N0-leak workmanship, labor, and equipment warranties

Not all installer and product warranties are created equal. Our installation and workmanship warranties are detailed in your project contract and summarized below.

No-Leak Roof Penetration Warranty

Western Solar warranties all Western Solar roof penetrations for ten years after the system passes final electrical inspection approval. We will, in the event of a roof leak arising out of our roof penetrations, replace any damaged material or equipment and will take necessary steps to prevent future leakage. Should a leak occur, the system owner shall provide written notice and documentation of the roof leak with a copy of a roof inspection conducted by a third-party roofing company indicating that Western Solar’s roof penetrations caused the roof leak within the warranty period. This warranty is transferable to a new homeowner, should the home be sold.

Labor & Workmanship Warranty

Western Solar warrants that our installation and interconnection services will be free from defects and that those services will conform to the requirements of the system contract for a period of ten years after final electrical inspection approval.

During this time, Western Solar will provide all labor and re-installation services necessary to replace any equipment failure (including modules, racking, and inverters) where such equipment failure is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Western Solar will not, however, cover labor or re-installation services in the event equipment is damaged due to “acts of god” including, but not limited to, storm damage, tree-fall, and lightning strikes. Upon completion of your installation, we recommend updating your home insurance policy to ensure coverage of your system, which would address events of this nature.

If the project includes installation of a web-based monitoring system, Western Solar will provide free remote troubleshooting of monitoring connectivity issues during the warranty period.

25-Year Equipment Warranty

Western Solar is an authorized installer for a variety of Premium solar manufacturers, giving you access to solar panels and inverters with 25-year warranties on production, parts and labor. (We are also able to source pretty much any economy module and inverter on the market, so you can discuss all of your options with your system designer and make an informed decision!)
